Formula Sun Race Day Results - Plais Menai, Wales

Secondary Schools from the North Wales region have participated in the Formula Sun Challenge for the second year running, and several were able to attend our Race Day Event held once again at Plas Menai on 20th June.

The sun shone and the boats performed well. We saw outstanding work from Ysgol Friars who were the overall winners, with their two teams - one boys, one girls. They impressed the judges with their depth of knowledge about the boats they had built. Other teams included Woodchurch High and Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen, who both won various other prize categories.

We once again had a super turn-out from the Primaries local to the venue, who come along fresh to the event with no prior knowledge, just buckets of enthusiasm and bags of energy. Rhoscolyn took the prize for the Primary Class and also came 3rd overall.
