engineering your future (EYF) delivers a range of initiatives which support engineering principles through applied science, math’s, technology and engineering. The projects use a context which enables both students and teachers to discover education and career pathways which are both enjoyed and meet curriculum/ skills development.
All our initiatives were developed by educationalists working with employers and
educationalists with industrial backgrounds this has remained so. Our activities
primarily cover KS3-
With the advent of the diploma curriculum we are working with a number of schools and colleges who have integrated our programmes into their curriculum delivery. This includes projects which are mapped to the engineering diploma and cover units 2, 3, 4 and 6, young apprenticeships, GCSE engineering and PEO Units.
The culmination of the student’s participation in the projects is represented at national Race Days. The events provide a great opportunity to inspire hundreds of young people who have been actively involved in engineering and management challenges for several months developing their cars/boats. Representing the culmination of work for over 200 schools and is their opportunity to demonstrate all they have achieved and of course, to race their cars/boats.
Working with industry to show there is real purpose in continuing in the fields of science, technology and engineering in both in education and employment.
