Our aim is to provide an adult environment where you will be encouraged to take responsibility and accountability for your own learning. Whilst at the College and on Work Experience we will expect you to act in an appropriate fashion and in return we will provide well-qualified teachers and the necessary resources.

Welcome from the Course Team

Welcome to the Young Apprenticeship Course. The course is one of only 26 national pilots, which makes you very special. In fact, there are only about 300 Engineering Young Apprentices out of about 800,000 14 year olds so you are very special indeed!

We want you to enjoy all aspects of College life and hope you will have many good experiences of working and learning in different environments.

Your course will provide you with a range of opportunities to develop engineering related skills, allow you an insight into the world of work, and prepare you to progress to Level 3 education and training.

It is up to you to work hard, ask quetions and gain as much as you can from the course. Teaching staff and technicians are always willing to help in order that yout time spent with us is both rewarding and enjoyable.
