Unit Summary

This unit covers the competence required to work safely in an engineering environment and that you understand the health and safety requirements of the workplace. You will be expected to carrying out work activities in accordance with instructions and the use of safe working practices and procedures. Identify hazardous situations, equipment, materials or conditions and how to take appropriate action to eliminate or minimise the risks. You are expected to dress (wear appropriate clothing), behave and maintain the workplace in a manner that is acceptable to the organisation in which you work and the type of activities carried out.
