Engineering Challenges
We are able to provide a number of bespoke engineering
challenges with in house training from primary to degree level, including
work based learning. Our range of activities include one-day courses
to extended programs of education with support and guidance.
Spectrum
Trailer
Spectrum is set up to introduce students to the world
of the electromagnetic spectrum and Light as an energy source. It
can support curriculum delivery in technology and science, giving
the opportunity for students to experience short lectures in-groups
of how photonics technologies are part of our everyday lives.

Ideally suited and tailored for Key stage 2 5
as an introductory session for Opto electronics in a Data Communications
environment. The exhibition can also be used for specialist science
and technology events.
Solar and Sail Challenges
A one-day event set up to generate interest in renewable
energy sources. Students work in teams to complete a design and build
a solar/ wind vehicle in limited time. This can be a wheeled vehicle
or boats, e.g. After an introductory session, students develop designs
for Hulls and power trains and the activity concludes with the racing
against the other teams.
Skills covered include:
|
Designing;
Modelling;
Shaping and Forming;
Solar Electronics;
Team Building

The course is flexible enough to be offered as a corporate
team building event through to specialist Science and Technology
days for large and very public venues.
